Use our free, downloadable lesson plans, activities and resources to teach young people how to be safe in, on and around the water, and what to do if anything goes wrong.

We’ve put together a suite of teaching ideas and materials to help you engage young people with essential – and lifesaving – water safety lessons in schools, colleges and youth groups.

You’ll find videos, guided discussions, problem-solving activities – and more – specifically tailored for primary- and secondary-aged children.

Primary-aged children will collect virtual stamps as they learn and engage with the Water Safety Code. Older children and young adults will access the code through planning their own campaign, discussion and debate. You can also check out a range of resources on maritime heritage.
