We'd love to talk to you about how we can work together – read what we can offer below, then send us a message or call 0300 300 9990 (UK) or 1800 991899 (Ireland).

Our partnerships

Our corporate partners support the RNLI in a number of ways and raise vital funds for us every year. Here you will find a comprehensive list of our corporate partnerships and the ways in which you can get involved.

Chris Pilling, Yorkshire Building Society CEO with Dave Steenvoorden, Supetrintendent Coxswain at RNLI HumberOur experienced team is here to work with you to develop a partnership tailored to the specific needs of your organisation. We recognise that there are many motivating factors for going into a partnership with a charity, so our starting point will always be to have an open discussion with you about your picture of the ideal partnership, the needs it should address, and the criteria we will jointly use to assess our collective vision of success.

There are lots of ways you could work with the RNLI, on a standalone or multi-layered basis. Some of the most popular ways in which companies work with us are charity of the year relationships, sponsorship opportunities and cause-related marketing campaigns.

We have a range of exciting opportunities for you to engage with the RNLI ethos and spirit, while gaining measurable marketing benefit and brand awareness. Some of these opportunities are ready-made, based on our previous experience of value derived by other partners, but all can be adapted to align with your consumer demographic:

  • lifeguards
  • running and challenge events
  • education
  • youth engagement
  • coastal safety
  • RNLI heritage preservation
  • Flood Rescue Team
  • casualty care training
  • crew training

If employee retention, development, happiness or talent management form part of your goals, we will work to ensure these needs are met, in a manner that also adds meaningful value to the RNLI.

Our team will provide you with dedicated support, collaborating with RNLI colleagues from Operations, Events and Communications as needed, to ensure the professional and creative delivery of agreed partnership objectives. We have high standards of in-house legal and tax-related advisory services, and aim for maximum efficiency and accountability in all we do.

Whether focused on business objectives (reaching a new audience, increasing sales, improving customer loyalty) or from a purely philanthropic perspective, we are ready to share the passion and values of the RNLI with you, your staff and anyone who comes into contact with your business.

Pilling Yorkshire Building Society CEO with Dave Steenvoorden, Superintendent Coxswain with Humber Lifeboat CrewOur corporate partners choose to work with the RNLI for a range of reasons, not least the opportunity to align their corporate identities with the well-known and well-loved RNLI imagery, brand and ethos. With a significant and exceptionally well established supporter base in the UK and Ireland, we are well placed to work with the corporate sector for mutual benefit, through a range of methods.

Strategic partnerships are the ideal way to ensure we meet objectives on both sides. To achieve this, we take a consultative approach to the development of relationships, based around the long-term needs of your business and of the RNLI. A true partnership for us is one that gives you the opportunity to meet your commercial goals and reporting requirements, while playing a key role in helping the RNLI save lives at sea.

Our volunteer lifeboat crew and lifeguards are there to save lives at sea whatever the weather, 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. We receive no UK government funding, but operate a highly professional search and rescue service that cannot do its vital work without support from donors and partners. Those we have rescued are from all parts of the UK and the Ireland, in communities both coastal and inland, and the need for our services continues to increase year on year.

By working with the RNLI, you become part of the lifesaving chain that extends its reach up to 100 nautical miles off our coastline, on the Thames and across many inland waterways, in some of the world's most challenging waters.
