Hartlepool Lifeboat Station

Celebrating over 200 years as a lifeboat station, Hartlepool now operates two lifeboats – an all-weather Trent class lifeboat and a B class Atlantic 75 lifeboat. The crews have been presented with 23 awards for gallantry, including one Gold Medal.

Hartlepool RNLI lifeboat crew attend upturned boat
Hartlepool RNLI Lifeboat and volunteer crew were paged at 09:40 on the morning of Friday 11th November 2016 to reports of a semi-submerged 8ft long tender approximately 8 nautical miles north east of Hartlepool that had been spotted by a passing ship. The UKCG agency believed there was never anybody in the vessel and there was no life at risk.Once alongside the casualty vessel it was hauled onto the all weather lifeboat and taken back to the Ferry Road lifeboat station to be disposed of and the all weather lifeboat made ready for service by 11.30am.
