Our lifesavers need your help this Christmas
Your support means the world as we strive to save every one
When the call for help comes in this Christmas, volunteer lifeboat crew will answer. Our brave lifesavers are ready to sacrifice time with their loved ones to launch to the rescue. The empty chair at their dining table will save another family from having an empty chair at theirs.
But they can’t do it without help from kind people like you.
Every donation gets us closer to saving every one
Christmas is a time for joy and celebration – but also for reflection. At this time of year, our minds often turn to the lives we couldn’t save.
One life lost to drowning is one too many. You may not realise it, but every single generous donation gets us one step closer to making sure there are no more empty chairs around the table at Christmas.
Your donation will save lives in so many ways. In 2025, for every £1/€1 donated, 54p/54c was spent on lifeboats, property and equipment, 28p/28c on running the lifeboat service, 12p/12c on running the lifeguard service, 4p/4c on water safety, education and awareness, and 2p/2c on international drowning prevention.
