How we are targeting improvements based on your feedback
Find out about the newly formed Leadership Action Group following the One Crew: Your View Survey
Last month, Peter Sparkes shared our collective commitments to focus effort to improve engagement based on your feedback in the volunteer and staff surveys.
We have introduced a Leadership Action Group who met at the end of November to agree the way forward.
Ensuring a balance between driving activity and making sure it’s the right activity
There are representatives from all areas of the organisation in the group, to ensure that collective and meaningful action is effectively aligned across the organisation. We are truly encouraged by the dedication and commitment of the reps in their drive to get these improvement activities right for everyone. The group will also be engaging with volunteer and staff groups and representatives, such as the Volunteer Feedback Panel.
Focus of the Leadership Action Group
We need to understand your feedback and ensure that we focus improvement activities in the right way and take meaningful action. To do this, the group will:
- Use your feedback to target activity in the best way possible
- Make clear recommendations around actions to our Executive Team, with the confidence that these represent the views of all our people
- Ensure a balance between driving activity and making sure it’s the right activity across the organisation
- Critique the activities within our 2025 plans – understanding where we are already focusing effort and identifying activities that we should pause or enhance based on volunteer and staff feedback
- Understand the impact through measurement and tracking of any improvement activities
- Keep our volunteers and staff updated throughout.
What’s next?
This month, our internal Research Team are undertaking further analysis to ensure that as a Leadership Action Group, we really understand your feedback and where we need to make improvements. This isn’t a tick box exercise, and we want get this right.
In early January, we’ll be using this to develop improvement actions. We’ll be sharing with representatives from our volunteers and staff groups, to check that we are aligned in what our volunteers and staff are telling us needs to improve.
Keeping you involved
Throughout 2025, we will keep you informed with regular updates and actively seek your feedback on their effectiveness. We will gather input from both volunteer and staff groups throughout the year to ensure our initiatives are making the right impact. Our goal is to make sure volunteers and staff know their voice has been heard, with action taken from the survey.
