As the warmer weather lured us back outside to make the most of our gardens, the heat was also rising for RNLI lifesavers across the UK and Ireland.
Every year, the summer brings a tide of rescues and 2021 was a scorcher. With Covid-19 keeping more people on home shores, we saw unprecedented numbers hitting the water, from the early morning dog walkers and sunset paddlers to the first-time family staycationers.
Thankfully, RNLI lifesavers were ready to answer the call for help. It doesn’t matter who’s in trouble, where they are, or what time of day it is, our crews and lifeguards powered to the rescue. We’re here to save every one we can.
Thank you to everyone who has participated and helped to make this year's RNLI Gardens such a success!
Whether you opened your garden for the public or neighbours to admire, or hosted a garden party for your friends and family, you raised vital funds for our brave lifesavers – you’re a lifesaver too.
If you haven’t yet paid in your funds, you can use this form.
Otherwise, look out for even more RNLI Gardens activity in 2022.
