The inshore lifeboat 'Solihull' launched at 8.13pm and made its way to the stranded yacht.
On arrival the decision was made to remove two of the females from the yacht and return them to the Ferry Road boathouse whilst the two male members of the yacht stayed on board until the tide came in.
At 11.10pm the inshore lifeboat returned to the yacht to ensure it's safe return to the Marina which it did under its own power.
The inshore lifeboat returned to the lifeboat station at 11.20pm and was refuelled and made ready for service by 11.30pm.
