Fishing boat towed to safety by Hartlepool RNLI
Hartlepool RNLI volunteers were paged at 3.55pm on Tuesday 23rd June by Humber Coastguard to assist a 38ft fishing boat with two people on board that had suffered mechanical failure off Hartlepool and was drifting towards rocks at the Headland.
Hartlepool RNLI coxswain Matt Adams said 'A quick reaction from the crew of the PD Ports vessel 'Tees Guardian' that had been working nearby most likely saved the vessel from running aground until we arrived where we were happy to tow the casualty vessel safely back to Kafiga Landings.'
