Flint RNLI's dazzling firework display raises vital lifesaving funds
Flint RNLI hosted a successful firework display, which was well supported by the community to help generate funds for the RNLI.
Flint RNLI’s annual firework display, held at Flint Castle on Friday 1 November, lit up the night sky in a spectacular community event that raised essential funds to support the charity’s lifesaving work. Volunteers worked tirelessly to organise the event, which was well supported by the local community.
Flint Town Mayor, Cllr Mell Buckley officially opened the evening's event, lighting “Barbara’s Beacon” before the fireworks display set from within Flint Castle began.
The event received generous support from local businesses and organisations, including Flint Coastguard Team, North Wales 4x4 Response, Raynet, Flint and Holywell Rotary, Dee Communications, Grosvenor Scaffolding, Flint Football Club and Flint Litter Pickers all contributing to the event’s success and safety.
Alan Forrester, Flint RNLI Fundraising Chair and Event Organiser said: ‘It’s wonderful to see the community coming together to support such an important cause, thanks to the commitment of our volunteers and the generosity of our supporters, the funds raised will help keep our lifeboats running and our crews ready to respond when they’re needed most.’
