Wells inshore lifeboat was paged by Humber Coastguard at 4.28pm on Friday 1 November to assist two people cut off on Scolt Head Island on the incoming tide.

Wells RNLI launching to assist two people cut off by the tide

Wells RNLI inshore lifeboat Peter Wilcox with a crew of three launched from the northern slipway on the flood tide and proceeded down the harbour channel towards Scolt Head.

At 4.50pm the coastguard advised that the two people had received assistance from a local fisherman in a tender and they were being ferried to the safety of the mainland.
