
RNLI ‘Heroes of the Community’ week
The Pen y Bont Farm Pub & Restaurant, Chester Road, Mold are holding a week of fun events in support of Flint RNLI, under the title ‘Heroes of the Community’.
The fun-filled week which starts next Monday (29 April) includes a variety of activities from waxing the chef’s legs, a charity walk to Flint’s lifeboat station, pub quiz and car wash.
Becki Jones, Pen y Bont Assistant Manager said: ‘We have a charity week each year and this year we decided our local lifeboat station at Flint would be the beneficiary, particularly as they are raising money for protective clothing as part of the ‘RNLI May Day’ appeal.’
Becki continued: ‘We start on Monday 29 April with a ‘Static Bike Ride’, Tuesday we walk to Flint lifeboat station, Wednesday 1 May we are waxing the chefs legs, Thursday 2 May its Dan in his dingy, Friday 3 May it’s a quiz 9 – 11pm, £2 to enter, Saturday 4 May Face Painting 4 – 7pm, Sunday 5 Staff in fancy dress, Monday 6 May car wash 2 – 5 pm’.
