Portishead Lifeboat Station’s new state-of-the-art lifeboat station opened in 2015 and houses a B class Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat. It previously operated as an independent station for 20 years.

Both Portishead and Barry Dock volunteers were paged 6.08pm, 1.10.17, to 61ft Ocean going yacht with a loss of all power.  In windy and choppy sea conditions, the busy shipping lane on the Bristol Channel, this was a great example of 2 RNLI Stations working together to support the stricken vessel
