Loch Ness RNLI assist motor cruiser
Shortly after noon today, the crew were paged to a motor cruiser which had run aground on rocks at Tore Point. The conditions were fairly rough but the lifeboat made best speed to find that the casualty vessel had pulled itself clear. The team put a crew member aboard to ascertain there was no water ingress to the cruiser, its occupants were unharmed, and it was able to make way under its own power. As a precaution, the lifeboat escorted it to a safe haven at Urquhart Bay Harbour. The lifeboat then returned to the station and was refuelled and made ready for service once more.
