Dunmore East RNLI assists crew on vessel taking on water
Dunmore East RNLI assists a 25ft vessel taking on water. At 2.50pm Wednesday 25th, October 2017 a 25ft fishing vessel with two crew onboard entered Dunmore East harbour. They realised they were taking on water and called for assistance. Quick thinking by the lifeboat mechanic who immediately brought the salvage pump to the fishing vessel to help keep the vessel afloat. Shortly after the rest of the crew joined him and the vessel was brought to the safety of the syncrolift. A successful mission by the crew without launching the lifeboat.
