Tamworth & Lichfield Fundraising Branch
Branch information
Formed when the Lichfield branch amalgamated with Tamworth in 2015, we are a very active, friendly, branch with a proactive committee and enthusiastic volunteers. But to maintain and expand our programme of events we are always grateful for new volunteers.
Most events we attend are at the weekend and local to Lichfield or Tamworth. And to make it easier for people who work during the day to get more involved, committee and general meetings take place in the evening, including informal and social gatherings, offering a relaxed chance for everyone to come along to meet members of the “crew” to learn more and have a good catch up. And we have two Water Safety Advisers available to give talks to schools and youth organisations.
Volunteering with your local RNLI branch is flexible and rewarding. Whether you can spare an hour once or twice a year to hold a collecting bucket, or prefer helping at events more regularly (Beacon Park, Statfold Railway Barn, Alrewas show etc), every contribution makes a real difference. It’s fun, you’ll meet wonderful people, and you’ll be supporting a lifesaving cause. If you’d like to know more, please contact us for an informal discussion.
We always need collectors and welcome new Committee members and supporters. If you would be interested in organising an event for us then we would love to hear from you.
Please contact the Chairman for opportunities at this branch or check our volunteering vacancies.
