Branch information

We are an enthusiastic branch committed to raising funds for the RNLI. Since the branch was established in 1920 it has directly funded three lifeboats.

We arrange various fundraising events such as the sale of souvenirs at local fetes and fairs, a quiz night with fish & chip supper, street and store collections, talks to schools and groups, and a Christmas sale of cards and calendars.

Events in this 200th Anniversary year of the founding of the RNLI include:

Our annual fish & chip supper and quiz on 2nd March
A street collection in the Quadrant on 4th May
A souvenir stall at the St Albans Model Engineering Club Show over the weekend of 21st & 22nd September
Our annual Flag Day street collection in the centre of St Albans on Saturday 5th October

We would welcome more volunteers to help with fund raising.
