Branch information

Porthleven lifeboat history dates back to the 1800's. The first records we have are of the Agar Robartes 1866 to 1879, AR was followed by Charles Henry Wright 1885 to 1899 before being replaced by John Francis White 1900 to 1923 and finally Dash 1926 to 1929.

In 1907 Porthleven lifeboats assisted in a rescue to help save the most lives in a single rescue and that remains a record today. 40 years ago a group of Porthleven people started a fun day with profits being donated to the RNLI. 25 years ago we started our own branch and since then we have raised over £250,000. Come and join us to continue this tradition.

As we are very active branch always looking for helpers. A warm welcome awaits if you would like to join the committee.

Please contact the Chairman for opportunities at this branch or check our volunteering vacancies.

We meet every 2nd Tuesday of the month for 9 months of the year at Porthleven Public Halls Committee room 7.30pm.
