
Exmouth Fundraising Branch
Our team of community fundraising volunteers in and around Exmouth devote their time to raising vital funds for the RNLI.
Branch information
Covering Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and neighbouring villages of Lympstone and Woodbury, we organise an Open Day, a Coffee Morning, a Plant Sale, Sea Sunday and Christmas Carol services each year. We have a dedicated team of volunteers that carries out street collections in all weathers and every other year we have an Exmouth RNLI Charity Ball.
Collections Coordinator
The Collections Coordinator shall have responsibility for:
- making early application to the local authority for permits for flag days and Christmas Day swims and giving early notification to hold a house-to-house collection
- planning the organisation of flag day and house-to-house collections
- coordinating Tesco collections
- coordinating all the Christmas Day swims at Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton
- building up a network of collectors with the help of a sub-committee as required
- complying with the requirements of the regional office staff and in accordance with national and local statutory requirements
- ensuring collectors are properly thanked and informed of the amounts they have collected (if collectors request this information)
- ordering supplies from the regional office giving at least 3 weeks’ prior notice
- liaising with the Treasurer and agreeing the arrangements for counting the money from the collection boxes
- ensure all collectors have authorisation cards (ID) when collecting – this is a requirement of the Charity Commission.

Our meetings take place one evening every month at the Exmouth RNLI boathouse on Queens Drive, Exmouth, subject to volunteer availability.
We hold one AGM annually.
