Branch information

Covering Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton and neighbouring villages of Lympstone and Woodbury, we organise an Open Day, a Coffee Morning, Sea Sunday and Christmas Carol services each year. We have a dedicated team of volunteers to carry out house to house, supermarket and street collections, in all weathers.

We are always looking for new volunteers, opportunities and ideas to help fundraise for our RNLI lifeboat station, so if you'd like to get involved, we'd love to hear from you.

Collections Coordinator

The Collections Coordinator shall have responsibility for:

  • making early application to the local authority for permits for flag days and Christmas Day swims and giving early notification to hold a house-to-house collection
  • planning the organisation of flag day and house-to-house collections
  • coordinating Tesco collections
  • coordinating all the Christmas Day swims at Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton
  • building up a network of collectors with the help of a sub-committee as required
  • complying with the requirements of the regional office staff and in accordance with national and local statutory requirements
  • ensuring collectors are properly thanked and informed of the amounts they have collected (if collectors request this information)
  • ordering supplies from the regional office giving at least 3 weeks’ prior notice
  • liaising with the Treasurer and agreeing the arrangements for counting the money from the collection boxes
  • ensure all collectors have authorisation cards (ID) when collecting – this is a requirement of the Charity Commission.

Enquiries to Beryl Cole on 01395 274328 for opportunities at this branch or check our volunteering vacancies.

We meet, on average, 10 times a year in the evening at the boathouse on Queens Drive, Exmouth. We don't meet in August and December.

Our AGM is in April.
