Barnsley Fundraising Branch
Branch information
Barnsley may be miles from the sea, but the RNLI has a special significance for our branch members who appreciate the valuable work of our volunteers near and far, landlocked or at sea.
Formed in 1990, prior to which it was Barnsley RNLI Guild, we hold regular meetings to plan our special events including coffee mornings, store and street collections and other local events.
If you live in and around Barnsley and would like to get involved in events we organise to support our lifesaving volunteers, we would love to hear from you.
Just one good deed can make all the difference
Would you like to do something truly worthwhile with your free time for the RNLI?
We are looking for support with our store and street collections, help at coffee mornings and at local events.
We would love to hear from you and welcome you onboard.
Please contact the Chairperson for opportunities at this branch or check our volunteering vacancies.
Committee meetings are held approximately every 4–6 weeks on Thursday afternoons.
The area has been subjected to inland flooding in the recent past where the RNLI Flood Rescue Team has responded and helped those in need within 24 hours. Our branch events raise money for flood rescue, lifeboat crews and lifeguards.
