A big thank you to everyone who has participated in the regional webinars over the past fortnight.

It has been wonderful to see and hear from so many of you online, joining in from home, lifeboat stations, lifeguard support centres and regional bases.

For anyone who was unable to attend one of the sessions or is interested in watching the others, you can find recordings of all the webinars, along with the autumn One Crew update, by clicking this link to view the playlist.

The recordings will be available to view until noon on 30 November. We would love to hear what you thought, so we can make improvements for future regional events; please let us know by completing this short feedback form.

I am pleased that senior leaders were able to hear from you directly and take your questions about the things that are important to you. For those questions that we were unable to fully address on the night, please be assured that you will receive an answer as soon as possible. We remain committed to resolving issues impacting your areas and keeping you informed along the way.

In some of the webinars, I was proud and honoured to be able to share, in confidence, a recent letter of support from the UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham, outlining his support for our remarkable people and the vital lifesaving service that the RNLI provides.

The excerpt below reinforces the genuine respect and admiration in which our volunteers and staff are held by the nations and communities we serve. I am happy to share this with you all, but please respect that it is for RNLI eyes only, as opposed to an external audience.

'As you have said, the RNLI represents the very best in our society, its people selflessly giving up their time to keep others safe, RNLI crews do not stop to ask who a person is, where they come from, or how they came to be in danger. They respond with skill, compassion and dedication whenever lives are at risk. That humanitarian tradition is one of the finest examples of patriotic public service in our country, and we all owe them a debt of gratitude. Please pass on my sincere appreciation and admiration to your volunteers, lifeboat crews, lifeguards and support teams across the UK. They save lives, bring reassurance to coastal communities, and make our nation proud. With my thanks and best wishes, Andy Burnham, THE RT HON ANDY BURNHAM MP'

As Chief Executive, I am humbled and grateful for all the support we have received in recent weeks from a wide variety of people and organisations, including politicians, partner organisations, supporters and members of the public as we continue to save lives at sea without judgement, as we have done for over 200 years.

If you have any feedback, questions or ideas please email [email protected] or fill in the feedback form.

Thank you for all you continue to do to save lives at sea.

Sincerely,

Peter
