Expanded volunteer survey results now available
In response to requests for further information, we've made a more detailed survey report available, helping to build a clearer understanding of the experiences and views shared by volunteers.
Following requests from volunteers for more detail on the survey findings, we've published an expanded volunteer survey results report. This provides a broader view of the results than the summary previously shared and aims to give greater transparency about what volunteers told us.
What's included?
The expanded report contains:
- A fuller view of the survey results across key themes
- Comparisons by volunteer role type
- Comparisons across regions
- Organisation-wide results to help build a clearer picture of volunteers' experiences across the RNLI
The report does not include individual comments or local station-level data. This helps maintain confidentiality and ensures findings are presented in a meaningful and statistically reliable way.
Why are we sharing this?
A number of volunteers told us they would like more insight into the survey results and how they are being used. We want to be as transparent as possible about the feedback we receive and the themes emerging from the survey.
While the survey results are important, they are only the starting point. The real value comes from the action we take in response to what volunteers tell us.
What happens next?
Over the coming months, we'll continue sharing updates on the work taking place across the RNLI in response to volunteer feedback. This will include highlighting improvements already delivered, changes underway, and future priorities identified through the survey.
Our aim is not only to share what volunteers said, but also to demonstrate how that feedback is helping shape decisions and improvements across the organisation.
