Man overboard, wearing a lifejacket in simulated rough water conditions

Book your free Man Overboard Experience

Learn how to keep you and your crew safe

Join us at a FREE one-day Man Overboard Experience at the BIM National Fisheries College of Ireland (Greencastle Donegal) and National Maritime College of Ireland sponsored by the RNLI and BIM.

Practise your man overboard recovery skills in this challenging 1-day session, while experiencing environmental conditions in a controlled environment at the sea survival pool.

Your day will be led by RNLI Commercial Fishing Safety Manager Frankie Horne and team. The day will start with a presentation followed by the pool-based session. By the end of it, you’ll have practiced man overboard scenarios first-hand and you’ll understand how a personal flotation device can help save your life. We hope you’ll be persuaded to put one on every time you go out on your boat.

This is a free opportunity so please join us if you can, and learn how to keep you and your crew safe.

Participants from registered seafood businesses are eligible for a payment of €175per person from BIM upon completion. Terms and conditions apply.
