Burnham-on-Sea RNLI volunteers training success
Earlier this week (Weds 14th), Burnham-on-Sea RNLI's volunteer crew member Megan Rundle, was successful in her assessment for Tier 2 level qualification on our D Class Inshore Lifeboat.
The system progresses through a lower level at which crew have the basic skills and knowledge to go afloat, through a Tier 1 level, and then up to Tier 2. Megan underwent an assessment afloat with RNLI local Coastal Trainer Assessor Tom Way, and achieved a successful Tier 2 Pass Out.
Duty Launch Authority Nigel Morton said; ‘All the crew at Burnham joined in congratulating Megan on achieving Tier 2 status on the D Class. This is thoroughly well deserved after all the hard work and dedicated commitment that she has put in over several months of training. Well done Megan!’
Pictured alongside Megan (2nd right) and Tom Way (right) are fellow crew members Julie Brown (left) and Jake Coombes (2nd left), who also achieved their Tier 2 on the D Class, last month.
