Jon Church, who passed out as Tier 2 (fully trained crew) and as Shore Crew, said: 'I would like to thank the whole team for all their help; I am pleased to have completed the training and be able to help in many ways.'

Dan Back, who also passed out as Shore Crew, said: 'It is a good start on my return to the station after a long time out of the area and great to be back with the team. I am looking forward to continuing my training in becoming the Maintainer.'

Mike Fox passed out as Head Launcher and said: 'I just want to say a big thank you to all the team for the support and training, particularly from the head launchers over the last few months.'

On a cold, windy day, 29 March, saw the volunteers open the station for the public to visit and see what they do.

Over 200 people turned up to enjoy a BBQ, hot drinks, fun and games. Plus, there was an opportunity to meet the crew and learn how to stay safe near water.

RNLI lifeguards were also giving advice on their 25-year anniversary of their formation. Everyone seemed to have fun, and the team managed to raise over £600 which will enable them to carry on their work of saving lives at sea. The station offers a 'big thank you to all for your support and turning out on the day.'

There is still more to come, on Saturday 11 April 2026 at 2pm at Happisburgh Lifeboat Station, Cart Gap, NR12 0QL, there will be a talk on The Children of the Titanic.

The station is proud to present a talk to be given by writer and storyteller David Lawson Lean. Those attending will hear about the children on board the Titanic as she set sail in April 1912; some perished and some survived this tragic maritime disaster.

Entry and Refreshments are by donation which will go to the work of the RNLI.

The team is looking forward to welcoming people to the event.
