Bangor RNLI volunteers receive Long Service Awards
Bangor RNLI volunteers Joanne Heasley and Scott Harkins have been presented with 20 year Long Service Award medals.
Fellow volunteers Kyle Marshall and Pete Semple presented the medals to Joanne and Scott on Friday during a crew dinner at the AVA restaurant in Bangor.
Both were recognised by the RNLI for their selfless and dedicated commitment to Bangor Lifeboat Station over the past 20 years.
Joanne who is now stepping down as a volunteer also received a framed photograph of thanks. Bangor RNLI volunteer David Eccles said Joanne has been a dedicated crew member and it had been a pleasure for everyone to serve alongside her.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea. Its volunteers provide a 24-hour search and rescue service around the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland coasts. The RNLI operates 238 lifeboat stations in the UK and Ireland and more than 240 lifeguard units on beaches around the UK and Channel Islands. The RNLI is independent of Coastguard and government and depends on voluntary donations and legacies to maintain its rescue service. Since the RNLI was founded in 1824, its lifeboat crews and lifeguards have saved over 146,700 lives.
