In recognition of their efforts, both venues were presented with Local Business Awards by the RNLI for their outstanding fundraising.

Held every Tuesday evening from 6pm, the “Cheesy Tuesdays” event offers customers a selection of cheeses, crackers and pork pie chunks. Guests are invited to enjoy the food in return for a voluntary donation to the RNLI collection buckets placed on the bar.

Rhys Pugh, Manager of Tapps at Rhos, received the award from members of the RNLI Fundraising Crew as the venue also celebrated its successful third anniversary.

In Llandudno, Janet Lowe, RNLI Llandudno Fundraising Coordinator, attended with members of the fundraising crew to present the award to TAPPS Bar and thank the business for its continued support.

“We always have amazing support from the people and businesses in the town,” she said. “It is important for us to acknowledge that without such support the RNLI could not function as professionally as it does.”
