Fowey RNLI lifeboat volunteers assist with unwell man

Lifeboats News Release

On Tuesday 23 June Fowey lifeboat crew were paged at 3:15pm and launched their D class lifeboat at 3:20pm. Falmouth coastguard requested the launch of the lifeboat to assist a 73yr old man who was feeling unwell at Duporth Beach.

Charlestown coastguard were in attendance and administering first aid, but could not get the casualty up the cliff so requested that the lifeboat take him to Charlestown Harbour.

The lifeboat arrived on scene at 3:35 and took the man to Charlestown where he was handed over to other members of the coastguard team and his family.
