Bangor RNLI receive cheque from Ballyholme Yacht Club
Bangor RNLI would like to say a big thankyou to Ballyholme Yacht Club for money raised over the past year.
The check was presented by Tara Robinso, Lady Commodore and Gareth Kelly, Rear Commodore and received by David Eccles Launch Authority and John Bell Helm.
The club has been organising fundraising events for the RNLI including The Boxing Day swim, Poker Night, and coffee mornings.
The cheque presentation took place during a busy evening at BYC their cadets’ groups Dolphins and Sharks had just completed their Friday night sailing. The children were thrilled to see the Lifeboat and to watch as it completed manoeuvres in the bay.
Lifeboat Helm James Gillespie gave the children a talk on water safety and got them to practice floating in the water afterwards.
