Outstanding Volunteer Contributions Recognised During Volunteers Week
Portsmouth RNLI has marked the end of Volunteers' Week by celebrating the outstanding dedication and achievements of its volunteer crew and supporters, whose commitment helps save lives at sea and support the local community.
The station has also been honoured with the Portsmouth Civic Award for Outstanding Voluntary Service and Lifesaving Dedication. The award recognises the exceptional teamwork, commitment and leadership demonstrated by Portsmouth RNLI volunteers across countless emergency launches, as they continue to safeguard the waters and communities of Portsmouth.
These recognitions reflect the dedication, professionalism and selfless service of the station's volunteers, who freely give their time, skills and expertise to support the RNLI's mission of saving lives at sea.
Roy Marsh, Lifeboat Operations Manager at Portsmouth Lifeboat Station said:
“Volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. We are incredibly proud of Luke's contribution and honoured to receive the Portsmouth Civic Award. These achievements reflect the commitment of all our volunteers, who continue to give their time and energy to help keep people safe on and around the water. We would like to thank every volunteer who makes our lifesaving service possible.”
As Volunteers' Week draws to a close, Portsmouth RNLI extends its gratitude to all those who support the station's work, both on and off the water.
