District Nurses Sponsored Walk for RNLI
A group of nine District Nurses walked from Llandudno RNLI Lifeboat Station along the coast to Rhyl RNLI Lifeboat Station to raise funds for the charity that saves lives at sea and on the coast.
He group of nurses, Katie, Beth, Dan, Liz, Amy, Kate, Susan, Ceri and Rachel walked the 16 miles in five and a half hours, over 37,180 steps, on 6th September 2025. The walk raised an incredible £1300 for the RNLI.
The group decided to raise funds for Rhyl RNLI due to it being a local charity, and because two crew members assisted some of their colleagues earlier in the summer. They attended the lifeboat station in Rhyl to present the funds they raised to the RNLI.
Callum Robinson, Rhyl RNLI Duty Coxswain/Mechanic said ‘It was great to welcome the team, some of whom we worked alongside during an incident last summer, to the station to accept the donation after their amazing fundraising efforts. I’d like to thank all of the District Nurses who took part in the challenge and all those who supported them’.
