Jason, who is no stranger to Bridlington RNLI as a volunteer 20 plus years, is returning to Bridlington as full time Coxswain/Mechanic on the town’s Shannon Class lifeboat ‘Antony Patrick Jones’. Jason took up the role at the start of the year after spending the last few years as a Regional Coxswain afloat Mechanic (CAM).

Andy Rodgers, Station Coxswain, said: ‘On behalf of the entire crew, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to Jason as he joins us as a full-time Coxswain/Mechanic. His experience and commitment will be a great asset to the station, and we are excited to have you on board. Bridlington is a fantastic team with a strong sense of camaraderie and professionalism. We are all looking forward to working with you and seeing the positive impact you will bring to the station.’

Jason said, ‘I am excited to take on this role at Bridlington RNLI as a full-time coxswain/mechanic. This is a new role for Bridlington RNLI and will ensure that we are resilient and even more prepared to respond to any situation that arises for persons/vessels in peril on our coast. I am more than ready to get started and it is good to know that I have a crew of excellent volunteers to aid me in my tasks.’

Jake Bennett, Lifeboat Operations Manager added, ‘I am delighted to welcome Jason as our full-time Coxswain/Mechanic at Bridlington Lifeboat Station. Jason brings extensive experience from many years of service with the RNLI, including national operational work at stations across the country. His maritime knowledge, technical expertise and calm command are fully trusted and respected by the crew, strengthening our operational resilience and ensuring we always remain ready for our core purpose, saving lives at sea.’
