Latest launch for Teignmouth RNLI
Volunteers from Teignmouth RNLI were paged at 12.41pm, Saturday 10 January following a request from Solent Coastguard after reports of a person in difficulty in the water near Babbacombe.
The volunteer lifeboat crew assisted by transferring the casualty via boat onto the pier, where waiting paramedics were able to carry out a full assessment and provide further medical care.
With the casualty safely handed over to the care of the ambulance service, Teignmouth lifeboat was stood down and returned to station, where it was recovered and made ready for service again at 1.35pm.
