First Launch on Service of 2026 for The Lizard Crew

Our pagers sounded for a request to launch on service at 1.54pm on Friday 27th February.

Following a swift launch and under the command of Duty Coxswain Sam James, RNLB ‘Irene Muriel Rees’ currently on station here at The Lizard made her way to Polurrain Cliff (Mullion).

Our tasking to was to assist a person in potential distress on the cliff. However shortly after launching it was confirmed that the person was in fact safe and in the care of the emergency services. T

The lifeboat was stood down to return to the station at Kilcobben Cove arriving there shortly after 2.30pm where she was rehoused and made for service when required.
