Enniskillen RNLI assists two people onboard cruiser that runs aground near Kesh.

The light was fading at the time and winds were northerly, Force 3.

The volunteer crew located the vessel near Kesh, came alongside and assessed the situation before making a decision to bring the two people who were safe and well, onboard the lifeboat. The vessel was secured safely. Those who had been onboard the cruiser were safely returned to shore, before the crew returned to the lifeboat station.

Speaking following the call out, Kane Howe, Enniskillen RNLI Lifeboat Helm said: 'We would encourage any planning a trip or using our waterways to always ensure you have the correct equipment, to wear lifejackets and have a mechanism for calling for assistance if needed such as a VHF radio or mobile phone. Should you get into difficulty, call 999 or 112 and ask for the Coastguard.'
