Padstow RNLI crew launch to reports of a fishing vessel taking on water.

The volunteer crew launched at 7.40pm (10 February 2026) to reports of a fishing vessel taking on water. Also tasked were Rescue Helicopter 924 and Rock RNLI Lifeboat.

The fishing vessel was just off Stepper Point and making its way to Padstow. Once it was established that the vessel could get to Padstow under its own steam the helicopter was stood down.

Padstow lifeboat escorted the vessel to Padstow and transferred a salvage pump to begin dewatering until the fishing vessel was stabilised. The vessel was then safely moored and Rock RNLI lifeboat crew were stood down.

Padstow lifeboat returned to the station and was refuelled and ready for service by 10.15pm.
