Littlehampton RNLI Open Day 2026 in pictures
Littlehampton RNLI’s volunteers opened the doors of their lifeboat station for an extra special Open Day on Sunday 16 August 2026.
Volunteers from the lifeboat station’s, boat, shore, fundraising, water safety and visits crew joined forces to put on a fun-filled day to thank everyone in Littlehampton for their continued support.
Neighbouring lifeboat station Selsey RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat Denise and Eric was welcomed into Littlehampton Harbour. Visitors were able to tour the lifeboat and see Littlehampton’s two lifeboats Renee Sherman and Spirit of Fidelity up close.
At the lifeboat station, visitors enjoyed a BBQ, ice cream van, children’s play zone, bouncy castle, face painting and a cake and crafts stall.
Nick White, Littlehampton RNLI’s Lifeboat Operations Manager, said: “What a fantastic day! We are so proud to save lives at sea here in Littlehampton and we are so grateful for the overwhelming generosity and support of our local community. I would also like to thank all our volunteers for working so hard to make this day possible, and to thank our friends at Selsey RNLI for visiting too. We are already looking forward to next year.”
Littlehampton RNLI’s Open Day was held on the second day of Littlehampton Harbour’s weekend-long Waterfront Festival (15-16 August 2026).
