The Robin Hood pub in Clacton, a favourite for locals and visitors alike recently held a quiz night, where our volunteer crews made up a team and enjoyed a great night out. Although our crew didn’t win on the night, they were delighted to learn that the proceeds from the quiz would be donated to RNLI Clacton.

On Monday evening, several of our volunteers visited The Robin Hood where they were warmly greeted by Aaron who kindly presented our team with £100.

Mark Walsham, Press Officer said “We would like to thank Aaron and everyone at The Robin Hood for their support of our lifeboat station. The quiz night had a fantastic atmosphere and was enjoyed by everyone. On behalf of our entire station community, we thank you for your generous donation.”

“The RNLI relies on the donations from our supporters, and this goes directly toward keeping our volunteers kitted out with the best PPE (personal protective equipment) and training. Every penny we spend goes toward our main aim of saving lives at sea.”
