Wednesday 8 April - Medical evacuation at Kilroom Bay

At 5.29pm on 8 April, the crew were tasked alongside Dale Coastguard Rescue Team (CRT) to assist the ambulance service with the extraction of a casualty who had fallen 8ft onto rocks at Kilroom Beach.

However, as the crew were preparing the lifeboat the launch was cancelled when the casualty was carried up from the beach onto the coast path and lifeboat assistance was no longer required.

Sunday the 12 April - Medical evacuation at Milford Docks

On 12 April at 12.03pm, the crew were tasked to assist with the medical evacuation of a casualty who had fallen approximately 16ft onto rocks at Milford Marina.

After making the short distance to the docks the crew located the casualty with the local marina workboat and paramedics already on scene.

Assisted by members of Dale Coastguard Rescue Team, police officers and paramedics, the casualty was packaged and extracted by the Y boat of the lifeboat onto the nearby pontoons and left in the care of the ambulance service.

The Y boat was recovered and the lifeboat was stood down and returned to station by 2.30pm.

Monday 13 April - Missing person near Tenby

On 13 April at 2.05am, the crew were tasked to support Tenby RNLI's inshore lifeboat, Tenby and St Govan’s CRTs and the police, with the search for a missing person between Lydstep and Saundersfoot.

The lifeboat launched shortly after and began making best speed to commence their search at Lydstep. However whilst rounding St Govan’s Head, news was received that the casualty was located on Tenby South Beach.

With no further assistance required the lifeboat was stood down. The boat was back alongside her berth and readied for service once again by 4am.

Tuesday 14 April - Missing person in Milford Haven

At 10.33pm on Tuesday 14 April, the crew were requested to launch to assist the police and Dale CRT with a missing person at Castle Pill, Milford Haven.

As the crew were readying the lifeboat to launch the tasking was cancelled as the casualty was located safe and well by the police.

Sunday 19 April - Broken down motor vessel in Cresswell River

On Sunday 19 April at 7.59pm, the crew were tasked to locate and assist a 5m motor vessel with two persons onboard suffering machinery issues between Lawrenny and Cresswell Quay on the Cresswell River.

The lifeboat was on scene around 30 minutes later and upon assessing the situation the safest course of action was to take the vessel under tow.

After a tow of around 90 minutes both vessels arrived off Gelliswick Beach where both casualties and their vessel were safely recovered.

With no further assistance required the crew were stood down and returned to station. The lifeboat was back alongside and ready for further service by 10.30pm.

Friday 24 April - Two calls to a yacht aground at Hakin Point

At 4.39pm on Friday 24 April, the crew were paged in response to a Pan Pan call and subsequent Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) activation received from a 10m yacht with two persons onboard, that had gone aground at Hakin Point, Milford Haven.

The lifeboat launched shortly after and was soon on scene. Due to the depth of water, the lifeboat's inflatable Y boat was launched and two crew members made their way in to assess the situation.

With the yacht hard aground and beginning to list, the Y boat crew assisted the yacht's crew to stream their anchor into deeper water and then set about evacuating both crew members from the vessel.

With nothing further that could be done the two crew members were transferred onto the all-weather lifeboat and taken back to the Port Authority jetty where members of Dale Coastguard Rescue Team were waiting.

The lifeboat was back alongside her berth and readied for further service by 5.40pm.

Just a few hours later at 8.43pm, the crew were paged again to provide safety cover to a local fishing vessel who had been arranged to salvage the vessel by its owners.

The lifeboat launched and was soon on scene to find the yacht refloating nicely. An hour later with enough water to get alongside, the fishing vessel arrived and dropped both the yachts crew back onboard before taking them in an alongside tow and towing the vessel out into deeper water.

After confirming all was well onboard, the lifeboat and her crew were stood down and the lifeboat was back alongside her berth and ready for service once again by 11.30pm.

Saturday 25 April - Missing person near Bucks Pool/Frainslake

A day later, at 10.39pm the crew were paged to assist in the search for a missing person at Bucks Pool, Freshwater West.

The lifeboat launched and began proceeding, with instructions to commence a search from the north end of Freshwater West Beach.

The crew were soon on scene and utilised searchlights, night vision and FLIR (Forward-Looking Infrared) to aid in their search. Members of St Govan’s and Tenby Coastguard Rescue Teams and police officers were also searching the shoreline.

Not long into the search, news was received that the casualty was located on Frainslake Beach by Coastguard officers. With this, the crew were stood down and the lifeboat returned to station. The boat was back alongside and ready for further service by 12.15am.

Sunday 26 April - Two missing 9-year-old children at Freshwater West

On Sunday at 3.39pm, the crew were paged alongside St Govan’s and Tenby Coastguard Rescue Teams and the police once again, this time to provide assistance with the search for two missing 9-year-old children at Freshwater West.

Fortunately as the crew were preparing to launch the tasking was subsequently cancelled when both children were located safe and well by the police.
