Hastings RNLI also wins as local Scouts gain badge
Four scouts from the 7th Hastings (Old Town) Scout Group raised £110.50 by holding a bric a brac sale and a 'Guess the name of the elf' competition.
The scouts, joined by the rest of their group, handed over the money to Hastings lifeboat coxswain Paul McCleery at the lifeboat station on Friday 24th April. They were also given a conducted tour of the station.
Paul, accepting the donation on behalf of Hastings RNLI, said :- "It was great to see so many members of the 7th Hastings Scout Group visiting the lifeboat station, I hope they enjoyed their tour.
"We are very grateful indeed for all donations we receive, all of which help us save lives at sea. The fact that these young people from the local community worked hard to raise funds for us is very special, and really appreciated."
