The eventual assessment was rescheduled for Wednesday 25th, which was successfully completed, in adverse climatic conditions (low temperature and strong onshore breezes).

Megan has served as a RNLI lifeguard at Burnham-on-Sea for the last five summers, and is this year, looking forwards to serving her sixth. She is no stranger to the RNLI , as her father is a Helm/launch authority at Burnham-on-Sea lifeboat station. Presently we have four female boat lifeboat crew at Burnham-on-Sea, and one female shore crew/head launcher

Launch Authority Nigel Morton says; 'Well done Megan! Not an easy assessment in those arctic conditions!!'
