Taking place on Sunday 3rd May, the gruelling 12-mile challenge follows a spectacular route along the North Devon coast, offering participants a unique opportunity to test their endurance while raising funds for the RNLI.

First launched in 2019, the event has quickly become a favourite among the local running community. Last year’s run attracted more than 100 participants, and organisers are once again expecting a fantastic turnout - with a limited number of spaces still available.

The Cobble Wobble offers runners exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the historic Clovelly Estate, a landscape steeped in history and rarely seen by the public. While the village itself dates back to the 11th century and is listed in the Domesday Book, this event opens up hidden corners far beyond the famous cobbled street.

Participants will tackle a challenging and scenic course featuring woodland trails, steep climbs and dramatic coastal views. Highlights include the bluebell-carpeted Brownsham Woods, breathtaking stretches of the South West Coast Path, and a descent to Mouth Mill beach, before finishing with a leg-burning sprint up Clovelly’s iconic cobbled street.

Clovelly Lifeboat Press Officer Suzi Marsh said: “The Cobble Wobble continues to be a real highlight in the local running calendar. After such a strong turnout last year, we’re thrilled to see it return once again. It’s a fantastic way to experience some of North Devon’s most beautiful scenery while supporting the RNLI.”

All finishers will receive a commemorative medal and free entry to Clovelly Village after completing the course. Entry costs £35 per person, with all proceeds going directly to support the RNLI.

Places are limited and expected to fill quickly. Registration is available online, and further information can be obtained by emailing [email protected].
