Whitstable RNLI Easter Fair as Popular as Ever
The Easter Fair at Whitstable RNLI has for many years been a popular local event attracting local supporters and visitors alike and this year was no exception when on Good Friday the boat hall was filled with stalls and stands selling all matter of locally produced crafts and services.
In a change from previous years many of the stalls were provided by local craft businesses in addition to those run by the stations volunteers. There was also an Easter Egg hunt and the stations Atlantic 85 lifeboat Lewisco was on display outside the boathouse.
Chair of Fundraising Pete Fenton said “Thanks to everyone who supported us on today’s Easter Fair. We have raised £983.52 from stall sales, the bbq and Easter Egg hunt and in addition the shop took over £600.00 and we still have a collection bucket to count on what has been an amazing day for Whitstable RNLI and the local community”
“Everyone said they had had a great day and will defiantly return on future events. Thank you again for all who attended, helped and supported the fair”.
“Our thanks also go to Boo’s Crafts, Handmade by Ausra, Marie’s Craft Box, Whitstable Coastal Art, Daisy J Crafts, Personal Touch, Mini Athletics Canterbury & Thanet, Face Painting by Cathy and Evolution Health for providing stalls and to Jim’s Family Butchers for support with the BBQ and to Sam Avery, Tesco Community Champion for providing the Easter Eggs”.
