The volunteer crew attended at the lifeboat station and RNLB Roy Barker VI was launched to assist.

After a short passage the casualty vessel was sighted and the lifeboat crew made best speed to their location.

Once alongside, the engine was restarted so the lifeboat escorted the vessel to Ardrossan where they were met by the Ardrossan Coastguard Rescue Team.

With the casualty vessel was secured alongside, the lifeboat crew returned to Troon and the all-weather lifeboat was made ready for service with the assistance of the shore crew.
