Angle lifeboat launched to a Man Overboard

Lifeboats News Release

The crew were paged at 10.17pm on Tuesday evening (25 November), following reports that a crew member had fallen overboard from a vessel near the Cunjic buoy.

Responding to the incident were two Port Authority pilot boats, a Svitzer tug, and a local range boat.

As the lifeboat was launching, news came in that the casualty had been safely recovered from the water by one of the pilot boats and was being transported to the Port Authority jetty. The lifeboat was requested to proceed to the jetty to provide additional casualty care until the arrival of an ambulance.

After being assessed by paramedics, aside from being shaken by their ordeal, the casualty was found to be in good health, was released, and was able to return to their vessel.
