The station’s all-weather lifeboat Nora Stachura was launched on service shortly afterwards with her volunteer crew onboard. Fortunately, weather conditions had eased since the rough seas and poor visibility encountered during the early morning shout at 3.22am.

The lifeboat was stood down shortly after arriving on scene and returned to the station where the lifeboat was washed down and recovered. By approximately 11.30pm, the lifeboat was once again ready for service and the volunteer lifeboat crew debriefed after a busy day.
