Judy Nelson Volunteer Lifeboat Press Officer said:-
‘We as a team were delighted that the Lord Lieutenant was able to come to see us again at the station and present these long service awards. It is important to us that the achievements of Mac, David and Peter are recognised and applauded. It was a pleasure to be able to host this at the station and for crew to congratulate the recipients. Every penny counts towards Saving Lives at Sea and making sure our crew are trained and kitted out to be able to do this. Our fundraisers help us to do that and we are indebted to them and their service.’
