The RNLI Hastings annual Fish Supper, which was sold out, took place on Wednesday (12 November) at the Old Town Fryer, East Beach Street, Hastings. As well as enjoying a hearty fish supper serviced by Hastings volunteer lifeboat crew, shore crew, shop volunteers and fundraisers, diners were entertained by The Ruxley Trio shanty singers, who donated their fee to the RNLI, a fun quiz, and a raffle.

Paul Freathy, Hastings Lifeboat Management Group chair, said : 'It was a fantastic evening, raising £1033, the highest ever figure for this event.

'We are so grateful to everyone who came along to support us, making the evening a sell-out. We would also like to thank the many organisations and individuals for their generous donations to our raffle.

'I’d like to thank all our volunteers too for making the evening such a success, and the Old Town Fryer for hosting us. We depend on this wonderful support to help us save lives at sea.'
