A busy few days for Angle lifeboat
Angle lifeboat crew were paged at 6.25pm on Sunday evening (9 November), following reports of a vessel on fire at Castle Pill.
The vessel was found beached, and it was quickly confirmed that no persons were onboard and no one had been reported missing. With no further assistance required, the lifeboat was stood down and returned to station, where it was made ready for service by 7.15pm.
The lifeboat crew were paged at 10.30pm on Monday night (November 10), to assist a 18ft motorboat with one person onboard who was unsure of their location due to an electrical failure. Shortly after launching from Milford Docks, the vessel was located just off the Marina entrance.
After speaking with the skipper, it was established that he had been attempting to return to Castle Pill, but was struggling to navigate back without electrical power. A decision was made for the motorboat to follow the lifeboat back towards Castle Pill. Once safely inside the Pill, the skipper was content to continue unaided to his vessel’s mooring.
With no further assistance required, the lifeboat was stood down and returned to station, where it was made ready for service by 11.25pm.
