The Lizard RNLI

Arrival on scene...
RNLB Rose launched on service at 7.29am and under the command of Coxswain Phil Woodcock the lifeboat was tasked to proceed to the vicinity of Polurrian Cove, Mullion following reports of a vulnerable young woman in possible need of our assistance. Conditions at sea were described as moderate with some sea swell.

Mullion & Porthoustock Coastguard Rescue teams were also in attendance and had been asked to carry out a land search for the casualty. Upon our arrival on scene a short time after launching it was confirmed that the casualty had been safely located and was in the care of the Coastguards. RNLB Rose was then stood down to return to station arriving there shortly before 8.45am where she was rehoused, refuelled and made ready for service again when required.

An excellent response from our crews to their pagers this morning.
