The framed certificate was presented to Adam at Falmouth Lifeboat Station recently by Falmouth RNLI Coxswain Jonathon Blakeston who said: ‘Since receiving the news last year that the station would be getting a Shannon all-weather lifeboat, Adam worked tirelessly in organising, and at times reorganising courses, training and pass outs for the station’s volunteer crew. He went way above and beyond what is expected from a volunteer.

‘Through his hard work and determination, Adam got us all through it and this enabled the Shannon to be put on service in late January of this year.

‘Because of this, it was felt that Adam deserved recognition and therefore we are very pleased that he has been given an Excellence in Volunteering Award.’
